Isaiah 1:1-31

DIVISIONS AND PRINCIPLES
========================

First Division: God gives Isaiah a vision and a mission. (Isaiah 6:1-8) 

Principle #1: Unconfessed sin hinders your relationship with the Lord and can diminish your desire to serve Him when He calls.

Second Division: God gives Judah bad news: their rebellion will lead to their destruction. (Isaiah 1:1-16) 

Principle #2: Our primary purpose in life is to love the Lord, the one true God, with all our heart, soul, and might.

Third Division: God gives Judah good news: He has a reasonable, life-saving solution. (Isaiah 1:17-20)

Principle #3: If you choose to love the Lord with a willing and obedient heart, then He will reward you; BUT if you continue in rebellion and refuse to love Him, then He will punish you.

Fourth Division: God gives up Jerusalem in order to save Jerusalem, forever. (Isaiah 1:21-31)

Principle #4: By our faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we will one day dwell for eternity with God, in His Holy City, Jerusalem.
