LESSON 12:  LOVERS APART

SCRIPTURE:  (Song of Solomon 5:2-8:14)


I.	FIRST DIVISION:  Solomon’s wife had a disturbing dream that broke her heart (Song of Solomon 5:2-16)

Principle No. One:  Feelings of loneliness and indifference can cause love to grow cold and raise barriers in marriage.


II.	SECOND DIVISION:  Solomon and his wife shared their hearts with each other (Song of Solomon 6:1-13)

Principle No. Two:  Careful words can restore love, renew commitment, and refresh romance, but carelessness can destroy a marriage.


III.	THIRD DIVISION: the heart of solomon’s marriage was mutual love and commitment (Song of Solomon 7:1-8:14)

Principle No. Three:  Marriage’s lasting commitment protects love’s physical and emotional union and pleasure.
