Zechariah 1-3: “Bringing God Into Focus”

DIVISIONS AND PRINCIPLES

First Division: God describes how the Remnant can protect themselves from God's Word. Zechariah 1:1-6; 1 John 1:9-10 [Please listen to the explanation in the lecture]

Principle #1: It is exceedingly dangerous to live inconsistent with God's Word.

Second Division: God describes how God will protect Jerusalem. Zechariah 1:7-2:13; Revelation 21:12; Genesis 22:14; 2 Chronicles 7:12; Revelation 20; Revelation 12:11

Principle #2: God returns to and protects Jerusalem when its people return to Him.

Third Division: God describes how He will protect His people from coming judgment on sin. Zechariah 3:1-10; John 5:24 

Principle #3: God sent Jesus to die for our sins and by belief in what God's Word says about Jesus we are now saved from God's Judgment on sin.
