First Division: Zechariah gives God's response to the Remnant's Question about fasting. 
Zechariah 7:1-14 

Principle #1: God wants hearts sensitive and obedient to His Word and not religious activity that stops-up our ears.

Second Division: God tells the Remnant that He is jealous for Jerusalem and how that jealousy will be manifested. 
Zechariah 8:1-23 

Principle #2: God listens to people who listen to Him. 

Principle #3: God is jealous for us to live the way He wants us to, so He can give us blessings we will be thankful for.
