April 13/14, 2014 (Week 28) “The Redeemer in Zion” Isaiah 60:1-63:6 ======================== DIVISIONS AND PRINCIPLES ======================== ======================== First Division: Isaiah reveals the coming glory of Jerusalem and its Residents. Isaiah 60; Rev. 18, 21, & 22; Heb. 1:3; Eph. 1:9-12; Rom. 8:29 Principle #1: One of God’s purposes in redeeming people is so that they will demonstrate His characteristics and draw others to Him. ======================== Second Division: Isaiah describes how the Redeemed and Jerusalem will come to radiate God’s glory. Isaiah 61:1-4; Isaiah 40:1 & 42:7; Luke 4:18; Rom. 8:2; Rom. 1:16 Principle #2: Jesus created the Gospel He preached, which sets people free from sin so they will radiate God’s glory. ======================== Third Division: Isaiah commands the Redeemed to work and pray for the establishment of the glorified Jerusalem. Isaiah 61:5-63:6 Principle 3: God wants eternal companionship with people who work for and want what He wants. ========================
