DIVISIONS AND PRINCIPLES

First Division:  Paul gives us a reason to focus on heavenly instead of earthly things.  [Colossians 3:1-4]

Principle #1: The more we progress in our Sanctification, the more mature our eternal body may be.

Second Division:  Paul helps us see how to progress in putting to death lives centered on earthly things.  [Colossians 3:5-11]

Principle #2: We put our earthly life of sin to death by cooperating with God's promptings, confessing sin quickly, and ceasing to live in it.

Third Division:  Paul explains how heavenly people live their earthly lives.  [Colossians 3:12-17]

Principle #3: Loving and living in harmony with other believers is how God's chosen people should live now and will live eternally.
