First Division: Daniel makes the decision to humbly obey God's Word. Daniel 1:1-2:30

Principle #1: God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6

Principle #2: When we mock God by disobedience; we forfeit answers to prayer. Proverbs 1:25

Principle #3: We are deceived if we think we can mock God with disobedience and not suffer consequences. Galatians 6:7

Principle #4: Whatever we sow - whether disobedience or obedience - will be repeated. Galatians 6:9 

Principle #5: When we disobey God; we forfeit what was best for us. Isaiah 48:17

Principle #6: If we humble ourselves before God; He will lift us up. James 4:10
